manville road

S T A G E  -  T E N D E R

EXISTING GROSS INTERNAL AREA- 0sqm  ADDITIONAL AREA - 105 sqm

The building is situated on the site of an existing garage. A modern house was envisaged by the architect that slots into the existing fabric of the conservation area. The scheme is designed to be more modest and provides living accommodation with ample daylight and amenity space. The first floor is set back from the ground floor in order to maintain the existing visual gap between the
proposed dwelling and the neighbors when viewed from the street.

Main design features,

•One and half basement (sunken ground floor)- The ground floor is set one metre below pavement level in order to keep the roof level low and so minimize the impact of the new building on the amenity of the surrounding.

•Modern external specification- Low maintenance, durable and corrosion free zinc clad roof and wall. Bronze finish aluminum doors and windows which is one of the best ways to compliment the London stock brick.

•Green roofs- Reduction of energy usage provided rainwater buffer and improved the overall aesthetics of surrounding which gave a positive effect on well-being of people.
