FEATURED PROJECTS

A proposal was to create a two-storey extension which opens towards a lush and generous garden filled with trees. The biggest challenge was dealing with the unconventional floor plan and achieving a layout that was practical. Careful sequencing of interior and exterior spaces gave an overwhelming feeling of openness and connection.

The existing house was built on a site with a garden 1m higher than the ground floor level. One of the aim of the project was to create a sense of unity between the back garden and the house, allowing nature and light to play a significant role in the daily activities of the family

The client brief was simple, ‘replace existing cold conservatory to contemporary habitable extension’. The proposal was challenged by planning officer but after tough negotiation, few iteration, they approved the scheme.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

—  Mr Eastland

I have been very fortunate to have found and engaged with Umesh.  Not only have I found the quality of the output to have been a very high standard, but he has really listened to how we want to live, and made it a reality in his design. We have looked at many contractors for the works, but in the end it was the introductions from Umesh that have been our final selection.

Umesh has always gone the extra mile for us, in a time when we have not been local he has worked hard to accommodate our time with his own flexibility. ”
